INGREDIENTS:
- Elephant Yam - 1/4 kg
- Coriander seed - 3 tbsp
- Red chillies - 3
- Pepper - 1 tbsp
- Cinnamon - small amount
- Fennel seeds - 1 tbsp
- Poppy seeds - 1/2 tbsp
- Cloves - 4
- Ginger - 1 piece
- Garlic - 6 clove
- Grated coconut
- Oil, Salt to taste
- Curry leaves
LETS COOK:
For Spice Paste, Grind all the following spices with little water added- Coriander seed
- Red chillies
- Cinnamon
- Fennel seeds
- Poppy seeds
- Cloves - 4
- Ginger
- Garlic
- Grated coconut
Keep the paste aside.
Cut Yam into small pieces and boil it for few minutes. In a pan take boiled Yam and spice paste. Mix water and salt. Allow it to boil. Add oil in between to make the paste to stick to Yam. Finally add pepper and curry leaves. Yummy Yam fry is ready.
