Is coffee really bad ?
If you had this question in your mind, then the answer is a big YES.
I would say drinking coffee is an addiction.
Unfortunately, at-least once in our lifetime we all get addicted to coffee. I too get addicted to Coffee in my early 20s. Coffee is the most commonly consuming beverages in the world. Is there any body else who addicted to Coffee like me, raise your hand✋.
Coffee, you make has a certain amount of Caffeine, White sugar, and whole fat milk. This combination will definitely makes you obese. Lets see the What happens when you consume Coffee.
STIMULATES CORTISOL :
If you are stressed out and rely on coffee, this will become an addiction.
Every thing that exceeds the limit is Dangerous. Too much Caffeine in coffee stimulates the stress hormone CORTISOL, produced by Adrenal gland.
When Cortisol level increases high, it will hurt you more than it helps. It leads you to
- Fatigue
- Depression
INSOMNIA :
Caffeine is a psychoactive drug which stimulates the central nervous system.
If you are consuming coffee when you are asleep, it alerts your brain. That's fine.
But when you consume it in the late evening, it wakes you up and causes Sleepless nights that may lead you to gain weight.
SLOW METABOLISM :
Not only Coffee but also Sugar-sweetened beverages lowers your metabolism.
White sugar has more calories that makes you gain weight.

YES, Eating sweets gives us pleasure. One day I was eating my favourite South Indian sweet - Sweet Seedai😋. After a while, I realized that I have eaten the whole package.
